"In the art of Kintsugi, brokenness is not hidden but highlighted—transformed into something more beautiful."
Kintsugi Heart is a visual meditation on the beauty found within our scars. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, this piece reflects the belief that our trials and tribulations do not diminish us; rather, they add to our story, making us whole in a new way.
At the center, a heart bears golden cracks—symbols of past wounds healed through divine mercy. Above, liquid gold pours into the heart, representing the continuous grace and love that mends and strengthens us. The deep backdrop contrasts with vibrant reds, blues, and golds, illustrating the journey from pain to renewal, darkness to light.
This painting invites reflection on the idea that our imperfections and struggles contribute to our unique beauty and strength. It's a reminder that healing is possible and that we are constantly being shaped and held by something greater.
