The Story Behind the Brush

My journey began in a home filled with creativity, where imagination was gently encouraged to roam free. As a child of Fijian Indian heritage, I found comfort in patterns — especially the quiet rhythm of Mehndi designs, drawn slowly by hand in the stillness of my teenage years.

But even then, I sensed something was missing. I was creating, but not yet connected.

That changed when I discovered the sacred beauty of Islamic art — where every letter, every curve of Arabic script, holds a meaning beyond the surface. In those forms, I found a sense of peace… as though each stroke carried me closer to something divine.

Art became more than expression. It became worship, reflection, and remembrance. A way to share my faith, my heritage, and my heart — not just through what you see, but through what you feel.

As you explore this space, you’re not just viewing paintings. You’re being welcomed into moments — each one created with presence, prayer, and love.

Thank you for being here. May these pieces bring your heart the same stillness and joy they brought mine.
