"Those – their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the workers." (Quran 3:136)
This piece was born from a moment of quiet reflection on divine mercy and the promise of eternal peace. I painted it as an invitation: a visual pause, a reminder of home that lies beyond what we see.
Soft, celestial blues and deep cosmic hues wash over the canvas — a whispered echo of Jannah’s serenity. At its heart, the Quranic verse floats like a sacred page set free, illuminated with golden calligraphy, inviting stillness and remembrance.
The gold-framed lettering, framed against otherworldly tones, is my way of bridging this world with the next — reminding us to seek forgiveness, trust in mercy, and live in hopeful awe.
Gardens Beneath Which Rivers Flow speaks to the soul’s deepest longing — for rest, redemption, and belonging in that everlasting garden.
Mixed media on 24" x 20" canvas.
